POTA Plaque Weekend Home Page

The POTA Plaque Weekend was a special POTA operating weekend with some great plaques awarded to the leaders in many different categories. Sadly it was announced in fall 2023 that the event would no longer be supported. A full explanation was not given, however the popularity of this event and POTA in general has grown so massively that the POTA IT team in particular have become overwhelmed.

The four 'Support Your Parks' (SYP) weekends continue: Winter - 3rd Full Weekend of January. Spring - 3rd Full Weekend of April. Summer - 3rd Full Weekend of July. Autumn - 3rd Full Weekend of October.

OVMRC Club Activation for the POTA Plaque Weekend 2023

The Parks On The Air Plaque Weekend is a special event in the POTA calendar, to give operators and clubs the chance to compete for some very special plaques by activating parks or hunting for POTA activators. Details of the POTA Plaque Weekend are here: https://pota.app/#/plaque

Following the successful late notice trial run last year, we are again holding a Club activation under the OVMRC Club callsign, VE3JW.

A brief will be held on Zoom at 7pm EDT on Wednesday 24th May 2023. Invites can be obtained by emailing ve3rxh@myrac.ca and will also be posted on the OVMRC Groups.IO site.
